7th graders budgeting class with the NH Federal Credit Union rep. This was Class 2/3 before the CU 4 Reality Fair on 4-19. They’ve been learning about budgeting + financial literacy as well as researching different careers and salaries. They ended with an M&M budgeting game!

All 7th grade science classes had a chance to hear about Forestry Science and Careers. Ben Winter is a Forestry student at Paul Smith College in Northern New York. The students are learning about plant structures and functions and Ben did a great job explaining to the students about the structure and function of trees. He even did a special presentation for a FLEX group about the gear he uses for climbing and how it would attach to a tree.

Sudanese ‘Lost Boy’ Peter Nhiany presented to 6th, 7th & some 8th graders at HMS recently. Most students have read the best selling book “A Long Walk to Water” by Newbery Medal winning author Linda Sue Park. We are grateful for Peter’s meaningful presentation. Thank you PTSA!
Mrs. Howard’s Flex students have been researching the Aberfan Disaster in Aberfan Wales. They were able to connect with 1 of only 3 survivors of the disaster. Gaynor Medgwick joined our students via Google Meet. They prepared amazing questions and had awesome dialogue with her.

Boys A lost a tough Semifinal game to St. Joes by a score of 63-50. The team ended their season with an 11-4 league record and an overall rec. of 14-5. It was a great season with some strong victories. Coach Flaherty/Brown would like to thank parents + staff for their support.
