The HMS softball team lost to Litchfield. Charlotte B, Shea St. O and Lydia U all had singles. Nice defensive plays by Jaylen L and Ashtyn E.

B Lacrosse beat Rundlett yesterday in their home opener. The Hawks offense was once again led by Quinn B along with Chase H who had his first hat trick. Matteo M earned himself the Game Ball with his leadership + control at the face off X while Avery D and the tenacious defense held Rundlett to minimal scoring opportunities. A big shout out to Austin F and Jack W who scored their first career goal at HMS. Nice work boys!

Shea St. O went 3 for 3 driving in the winning run in the bottom of the 6th inning. Ashlyn E had two hits with one being a double. Emily N got it done on the mound, striking out 10 and giving up only one hit. The Hawks won 3-2.

Girls Lacrosse had another win while playing at home against Rundlett 17-0. There were many girls that had their “first goals” of their middle school career such as: Gracie P., Abby E., Nora B., Elizabeth P., and Eloise J with other goals scored by Brinn O, Julia F., Sydni B, Emelia S., and Lea M. Our defense, led by Emily S, Catalina S, Willow and Tessa M. held strong any time the ball was on the defensive side of the field causing many forced turnovers and moved the ball to the offensive side of the field. Tess M had 3 amazing quarters and Emmy E held strong in the 4th.

On opening day for the baseball team, the Hawks suffered a loss to Londonderry. Despite the loss, playing well for HMS was Landon C, Patrick K and Tyler G. Come support your baseball team on Tues when they play their 1st home game of the season at Depot Road vs Raymond at 3:30.

The Girls B Hawks basketball team lost a hard fought semi final game to #1 seed Amherst 28-35. The Hawks trailed very close behind a tough Amherst team for almost the entire game. Early in the 4th quarter, the Hawks tied it up and battled for the win. Unfortunately in the last few minutes of play, Amherst sunk three back to back three pointers to win the game. The girls had an awesome season and should be so proud of how far they made it. A big shout out to our two captains, Eloise and Abby, for leading this team with devotion and spirit. Great season girls. Go Hawks!

Girls B defeated Milford 31-19 in their 1/4 final playoff game. Addy A led the way in scoring with Eloise, Emma, Abby, Sofia, Evie, Mila, Emerson and Julia adding pts. This was a whole team win, both offensively and defensively. They will move onto the semis against Amherst.
