A depleted Hawks A basketball team played Litchfield yesterday in a Tri-County quarter-final game at Litchfield. The Hawks gave them all they could handle as they played an inspired game both offensively and defensively. With the lead changing many time the Hawks found themselves down by 5 with a minute and a half left in regulation but managed to hit some crucial shots and tied the game just before the 4th quarter buzzer sounded. Overtime saw several Hawks foul out, yet they continued to battle. Eventually Litchfield pulled away for the hard fought win 65-58. Playing great defense and offense the team stuck together and made themselves proud to be HMS HAWKS. Quinn B led the offense with 20 points while AJ M had 15, Parker C had 12 and Christian W had 11. Parker also had the tough job of covering their scorer and amazingly held him to one basket. Emilio D had numerous rebounds and played a strong defensive game.
